The Drake Public Library has been serving the citizens of Appanoose County for well over 100 years. The majestic building is a focal point of Centerville and features a recently restored stained glass dome. For the past several years, the library building has undergone a renovation/remodeling process.

Youth Programs: The youth library has after school programming for children on Monday, Thursday and Friday afternoons. Preschool story time takes place at 10:30 on Monday mornings. For more information, contact Kristin Craver or JeNel Barth at the library.
Adult Programs: Adult Coloring group meets on Thursdays at 1:30pm. Book Chat book group meets on the last Wednesday of each Month. Contact JeNel Barth for details.
Technology at the Library: Ten computers are networked in two computer labs to provide internet access for public use. The library also provides wireless internet access for laptop users throughout the library. 3 Tablets are available for in library use for children through the 12th grade.
