A big thank you to the Appanoose County Tourism Facade Grant Committee for awarding Drake Public Library a grant for $3,000 to improve the railing and signage for the library's front entrance. This project has been on our wish list for a while now. Through the work and support of the Drake Public Library Foundation and Alison Fraser, we hope that this is the start of significant restoration of our beautiful library's exterior.

The Book Chat book group will be reading biographies in March. We have a great biography section, But you can also find biographical information in true crime (364.1), comedians (792.702), sports figures (796.357) and historical narratives (973.7). Check them out in the Swab Reading Room today!
