The Centerville Municipal Waterworks is an independent entity that the City of Centerville administratively supports. The Municipal Waterworks Board establishes water rates and policies and holds a public meeting on the second Monday of each month at 11:00 a.m. at Centerville City Hall.
To sign up for water service in Centerville, you must submit the following items to Centerville City Hall. Applications cannot be accepted by email or phone.
- Complete the "Request for Service Connection" Form
- Provide a copy of your driver's license
- Pay the Water Deposit (see below)
Deposit: $150 - deposit is refunded upon termination of water service at the property. The deposit is applied to the last month's water bill, and the remainder is mailed to the forwarding address. Deposits must be made using cash or check only.
To terminate water service, you must submit a completed "Request for Disconnect" form and provide a forwarding address. Disconnects cannot be completed over the phone or via email.

Irrigation meter: Residents can purchase a second meter for outdoor water usage. The secondary meter will only track outdoor consumption and deduct the sewer fee for the water used. The homeowner is responsible for plumbing the home to prepare for the meter. Once plumbing is complete a secondary meter must be purchased at Centerville City Hall. Once a secondary meter is installed there is a monthly minimum fee even when outdoor water is not used.
Email Paperless Billing: All residents are encouraged to use paperless billing. New customers wishing to receive paper bills must opt out of paperless billing. Receiving a paper bill will result in an additional $1 per month service fee.
Auto-pay: All customers are encouraged to use direct bank draft Autopay. Autopay accounts set up at City Hall will result in a $1 bill credit per month. Payment drafts occur on the 15th of each month.
